We invite you to Wildbird Recovery and Jacob’s Halloween event on Friday, October 16, 2027 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy (120 Forsythe Road, Valencia, PA 16059).
This family-friendly event (not spooky) was started a few years ago by a young man named Jacob who found joy (learning and exploring) at Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy. He loves greeting everyone and anyone who meets Jacob realizes quickly that he has a kind heart and a big smile!
Yes, there is a small donation to this event to support two local nonprofits in our community – Wildbird Recovery and the Mars Area Public Library. These two organizations partner throughout the year to bring the StoryWalk to the community. The donation helps support the educational programs as we do not have individual or business sponsors. If you are reading this and feel compelled to sponsoring this event, donating pumpkins or crafts, please do let us know by emailing hello@wildbirdrecovery.org. Thank you for bringing awareness to Jacob’s Halloween event.

Friendly reminders
What to Wear: This event takes place on a mowed lawn surface. Please dress based on the weather forecast for the day. Plan to wear closed-toed shoes or rain boots. Costume attire is encouraged, but not required for participation.
What to Bring: You will want to bring something to carry candy and/or non-candy items in. Bring a flashlight for 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM **Flashlights must be pointed towards the ground and not towards the education ambassadors to see inside their enclosures. Please plan to arrive early if you want enough time to see education ambassadors before the sunset.**
This event will be simplistic and fun! The nature trail, StoryWalk, and Octagon play area will be open so that families can explore during their time with us.
Please kindly know that our education animal ambassadors will be in their enclosures for their safety as costumes aren’t part of our daily attire. We want to all be respectful of their space.
